What you need to know: CIVIL REGISTRATION was made compulsory with the enactment of the CIVIL REGISTRY LAW (ACT NO. 3753) approved on 26 November 1930 and which took effect on 27 February 1931. It is the process of recording in appropriate registers, events that affect the civil status of individuals in a country.
For ordinary marriages, the time for submission of solemnization of marriage is 15 days following the solemnization of marriage. For marriages exempt from the license requirement, that is Art. 34, the Certificate of Marriage is 15 days following the prescribed period is 30 days.
